About Us

Clara Vale FC was formed in March of 2005 and was awarded the prestigious Charter Standard Club status in June 2005. We are affiliated with Durham County FA.

The Club's Teams play at various grounds leased from Gateshead MBC. We also help arrange indoor training facilities or floodlit training areas for during the Winter months for the younger teams.

Training is normally conducted at Barmoor during the lighter nights. New training equipment has been purchased for use at training sessions including;

- Portable goals
- Hurdles
- Ladders
- Slalom Poles
- Arches
- Bibs
- Cones & Discs
- Restraining Belts
- Football Tennis Eqpt
- Mannequins
- Stop Watches
- Tactic Board

Fitness training on a fortnightly basis during the Winter months can also be arranged with Sub2 Gym at Greenside.

Team building activities are also arranged (dependent upon age) including:

- paint-balling
- go-kart racing
- assault courses
- 10-pin bowling
etc

Family Fun Events are also arranged, including:
- BBQs and Picnics
- Camping
- Trips to Theme Parks
etc

Clara Vale F.C. continually assess the future Club development in an effort to enable young players of all ages, sex and ability, are given the opportunity (where possible and practicable) to participate in "the beautiful game". Clara Vale FC are actively developing the Club to provide opportunities for players of all ages and abilities. We also arrange coaching and training courses for our volunteers.

SCHOOL-CLUB LINKS are already forged with local primary schools to provide exit points for all schools in the area. Simon Storey currently provides 3 Lions (as approved by Durham FA Development) Coaching and Festivals for Keystage 1 & 2 children.

Enhanced CRB disclosure is arranged for all volunteers through The FA.
